PROGRAMS AT ART, HEART & HOOFBEATS SANCTUARY

Our Programs
At Art, Heart & Hoofbeats Sanctuary, our programs are grounded in a simple belief:
healing, learning, and belonging grow through relationship — with horses, with creativity, with nature, and with one another.
All programming is trauma-informed, non-riding, and accessible to participants of ages 8+ with adult and toall abilities. No prior horse or art experience is required.
Equine Experiences

Our equine experiences invite participants to slow down, observe, and build trust alongside our rescued herd.
Programs may include:
-
Horse communication and body-language awareness
-
Groundwork and safe, respectful interaction
-
Mindfulness and co-regulation with horses
-
Understanding herd dynamics and emotional safety
These experiences support emotional regulation, confidence, and presence while honoring the horse as a prey animal with agency and wisdom.

Art & Creative Wellness

Creative expression is at the heart of our sanctuary.
Our art programs provide welcoming, supportive spaces to explore creativity as a tool for reflection, healing, and connection. Offerings may include:
-
Painting, drawing, and mixed media
-
Mosaic and community art projects
-
Guided creative reflection and storytelling
-
Accessible art experiences for all skill levels
Art programs are designed to celebrate each person’s voice and process — not perfection.
Retreats & Seasonal Experiences

Our retreats and seasonal offerings blend horses, art, and nature for deeper, restorative experiences.
These may include:
-
Yoga with horses
-
Sound bath and art experiences
-
Half-day or full-day wellness retreats
-
Seasonal and special community events
Retreats offer time to pause, reconnect, and engage in meaningful, embodied experiences in a natural setting.

Community Partnerships
