About the event
Community Art & Animal Hour is an inclusive, donation-based program that provides accessible opportunities for participants to engage in creative art-making while interacting with rescued horses and sanctuary animals in a safe, trauma-informed environment. This program is designed to reduce barriers to participation by offering low-cost, small-group experiences that support emotional well-being, creative expression, and community connection.
Participants are guided through a simple art technique while learning observational and relational skills through interaction with animals and nature. The program promotes stress reduction, confidence building, social connection, and increased awareness of animal welfare and sanctuary stewardship.
By integrating arts education, experiential learning, and humane education, Community Art & Animal Hour supports participants of diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds while strengthening community engagement and access to creative wellness opportunities.
